Hi PAVA World! My name is Kayla Lim, a rising senior at Sunny Hills High School, and I am truly honored to have served as your National President of the Pacific American Volunteer Association for 2025–2026.
Serving as National President has been both a privilege and a responsibility that I hold close to my heart. PAVA has shaped me in ways I never expected. Through every event and every opportunity to serve, I witnessed how even small acts of kindness can create meaningful change in our community. By participating in the Hollywood Christmas Parade each year and serving our community through meaningful events and initiatives, I experienced
firsthand how our collective efforts create hope, connection, and lasting impact.
Over the years, I have built genuine friendships, strengthened my confidence, and discovered the true value of teamwork and dedication. Community service is no longer just an activity to me — it has become a mindset that will continue to guide me wherever I go.
Each PAVA event challenged me to step outside my comfort zone and grow not only as a leader, but as a person. I learned responsibility, perseverance, and positivity, and I am deeply grateful for the foundation built by those who came before me and for everyone who served alongside me.
As I reflect on this journey, I am proud of what we have accomplished together and confident that PAVA will continue to grow and make a meaningful difference in our community.
It has been the greatest honor of my high school journey to serve PAVA, and I will forever carry the spirit of service with me.
